General

We’ve been playing as a quartet for more than 15 years, and have worked together all that time at various functions.

A string quartet is made up of 2 violins, a viola and a cello.

Weddings

As long as you like! For weddings we are most commonly booked to play for the ceremony and drinks reception. We would usually be booked to start playing 15 minutes before the ceremony begins (or 30 minutes for church weddings) to set the scene as your guests arrive in preparation for the big moment. Following the drinks reception we can always carry on and provide music throughout the wedding breakfast. We are happy to be as big or small a part of your day as you like. Talking to the hotel when discussing the day should give some idea as to timings, but generally we find a two and a half hour booking tends to cover us playing from before the ceremony until the end of the drinks reception.

After playing for your guests to arrive comfortably into the room we then can playing for the entrance of the wedding party down the aisle, a couple of pieces while you sign the marriage register and a final piece as you make your way back down the aisle happily married!
